A: We sell sod by the square foot. You will need to measure the area to calculate the square footage. We do recommend buying slightly over due to cutting and waste.
Q: How should I prepare my soil before laying sod?
A: Preparing the area for your new sod. Remove old sod and any other debris from the site. Level the area if needed along with proper grading and drainage. You can also add topsoil prior to laying down the new sod.
Q: How soon should I install sod after delivery or picking up at our farm?
A: Sod is perishable! Customers need to have sod installed within 24 hours for the best results.
Q: When can I walk on new sod?
A: Usually after 3 weeks and if the sod is properly rooted into the new area. High traffic is not recommended at all during the rooting phase.
Q: When can I mow new sod?
A: After 2-3 weeks, once the roots have been established and the grass reaches mowing height.
