Q: What types of sod do you offer?
A: We offer several different types of sod. We carry our Nuggett +II Bluegrass on peat or topsoil. We have a premium shade mix of 25% fine fescue & 75% bluegrass. We also carry RTF which is a rhizomatous tall fescue only on topsoil. This fall season of 2026 we will be able to offer a Tall Fescue to our customer.
Q: How much does sod cost per square foot?
A: Prices vary based on grass type; We carry our very popular Nuggett +II Bluegrass either on Topsoil or Peat that is .29 cents a sq ft. Our Premium Shade Mix is .31 cents a sq ft. Our sports sod RTF, which is high durability, draught tolerant, and self repairing is .34 cents a sq ft. These prices are for the 2026 season.
Q: What sizes do your rolls of sod come in and how many on a pallet or big roll?
A: Freshly cut rolls of sod, Size of rolls 2' x 5' = 10 sq/ft, Pallet sizes for peat on Nuggett +II Bluegrass is 800 sq/ft per pallet which is 80 rolls. Pallet sizes for topsoil on Nuggett +II Bluegrass are 700 sq/ft per pallet which is 70 rolls. Big Roll is 225 sq/ft of sod that is cut into a 4' x 56.25' size roll. Standard delivery for big roll is 50 rolls per truck; this is for topsoil or peat base.
Q: Do you supply golf course turf?
A: Yes, our turf is highly recommended for golf courses. Our Nuggett +II Bluegrass, whether it's on topsoil or peat, is our number one seller to golf courses here in Michigan and Ohio. Our Nuggett +II Bluegrass can be trained to be low mowed down to a ¼ of an inch. It's durable and can stand high traffic and has wonderful color.
Our premium shade mix works wonderfully in the ruffs on a golf course. We also carry RTF, a trademark sod that is drought tolerant, high durability and can self-repair for those places that are even more highly-trafficked areas.
Q: How much sod do I need?
A: We sell sod by the square foot. You will need to measure the area to calculate the square footage. We do recommend buying slightly over due to cutting and waste.
